This tub is designed and modelled after the antique Victorian-era cast iron bathroom tubs. This bathtub is finished in white inside and outside. Many clawfoot tubs have a rough, unfinished and unpainted fibre-glass exterior that cheapens the overall look of the tub. The manufacturer did not skimp out on the finishing, it truly is a sight to behold both inside and outside.
- Polished chrome metal feet are included.
- Optional colors for the feet are brushed nickel and antique brass.
This acrylic clawfoot tub has several advantages over old cast iron tubs:
Durability.
Modern acrylic tubs will not rust like the older cast iron tubs. They also have a higher resistance to mildew and buildup, cracking, and chipping.
The thickness of the tub is 12 mm, with two acrylic layers on the inside and outside, 3 mm each, surrounding an inner resin layer. Many other tubs on the market may use only a 2 or 2.5 mm acrylic layer.
Functionality.Acrylic tubs aren't as cold on the bottom when you sit in it, the water stays warmer for a longer period of time. Convenience.
The tub weighs approximately 105 lbs. This means that you will not have to struggle to get the bathtub up your stairs, through the doorway, and drag it across your flooring leaving deep scuff marks behind you. Old cast iron tubs can weigh up to several hundred pounds.

I bought the double slipper clawfoot tub in white. It looks fantastic and is very sturdy. It does retain the heat much better than metal tubs I have had in the past. The double slipper design is great even for two people. Both ends are sloped, allowing two people to lean back and relax.rnrnI was originally a bit skeptical about these bath tubs because these are so well priced compared to other stores selling similar looking tubs. I even asked if there was anything wrong with them when I called customer service to ask which about faucet and plumbing parts I should order with it. The customer support rep was quite helpful. I think it would have been easier for me to figure out if there was a package product that included the tub and the faucet parts that I need. rnrnOverall, I am very happy with the purchase. My mother has seen it and asked me to order for her one also.
